According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, a man told officers that he was working in a yard of a home on Elderbank Drive on March 16 when he was robbed.

The two men got away with the victim's wallet and cell phone. When he was refused, he fled the scene, leaving the BB gun behind. The witness took several pictures of the getaway vehicle, which police say was stolen.

The Marked Tree Police Department states a risky armed robbery suspect is now in custody. He reiterated the command's commitment to fighting crimes while commending the continued assistance of other security agencies and residents of the state in volunteering credible information. The victim later identified the suspects to the police.
