Former Trump Campaign Aide Flips On Grand Jury Testimony

Trump may very well have done something during the election with the Russians.

Nunberg's rants on various news programs on Monday led some to wonder if he was drunk, but Scarborough took a somber tone as he suggested that the behavior is a result of the mounting pressure put on those involved in the Trump campaign by the Mueller probe. Nunberg has denied being intoxicated during the interviews multiple times. Trump can't keep his expletiving mouth shut, Nunberg told Politico. He credited his decision to comply to the counsel of Professor Maya Wiley, whom he spoke with live on air during a Monday appearance on Ari Melber's MSNBC show.

Burnett started questioning his odd behavior. "I hate the guy", he said. "Mr. Mueller should have to explain why I should have to spend 80 hours looking for emails to provide to him".

Nunberg said he'd already blown a 3 p.m. Monday deadline to turn over the requested communications.

In erratic statements for MSNBC and CNN, Nunberg both defended and derided Trump - a man who has hired and fired Nunberg three times. "I think he may have done something during the election".

Tur then asked how he knew that.

Nunberg told The Washington Post that he was subpoenaed to appear Friday before a grand jury in Washington.

In yesterday's newsletter I highlighted a quote from an interview that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., gave to LevinTV host Mark Levin on his Fox News program Sunday evening.

Nunberg also said "I suspect that they suspect something about {Donald Trump]".

And if Americans missed his back-to-back-to-back interviews - or the followup coverage Tuesday - they might never hear his name again. "Why do I have to go? Why?"

He also said his move wasn't to protect the President.

The portion of Nunberg's subpoena published by the media asks him to preserve documents from November 1, 2015, to the present.

"You know what he did?" By the end, he made it clear that he had decided he would not comply with Mueller's investigation, telling Josh Dawsey, "Let him arrest me".

When asked if he had turned over documents to the special counsel, Stone told NBC News' Chuck Todd Tuesday, "I have not been asked to do so".

U.S. intelligence said those documents were illicitly obtained by or on behalf of the Russian government.

Mr Nunberg said: "Roger is my mentor". Roger is like family to me. "I'm not going to do it".

Then, when the Trump campaign began in 2015, Nunberg was on the team for essentially the first six months. On Carter Page: Nunberg offered the bald assertion that the former Trump campaign national security adviser colluded with the Russians. Throughout all the interviews, there was clearly something wrong with Nunberg, as he described how he was going to defy special counsel Robert Mueller.

"I definitely think he doesn't know that for sure because he's incorrect".

Nunberg is perhaps the only person questioned by Mueller and his team who is openly talking about it. During his last interviews with TV channel NY1, Nunberg called the press secretary a joke and referred to her as unattractive.

The UAE agreed to broker the meeting in part to explore whether Russian Federation could be persuaded to curtail its relationship with Iran, including in Syria, a Trump administration objective that would be likely to require major concessions to Moscow on US sanctions, those officials said.
