HMD Global is pitching its new budget phone as a "transition" device for those moving from feature phones to their first smartphones, with Google's leaner OS offering a simple, data-efficient version of Android capable of running on low-priced hardware. Under the hood, The smartphone features Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, there is a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and ZEISS lens. It utilises front and back cameras simultaneously.

The Nokia 1 will go on sale in early April for $85 and its swappable Xpress-on covers will sell for $7.99 each. It will be available from May and will retail for a global average retail price of €79 (around £70), excluding taxes and subsidies.
