There have been black characters in Marvel's Cinematic Universe before, but there's never been a superhero movie so ensconced in blackness, African culture, and ideas about the African diaspora as Black Panther. "Just to have that opportunity to portray that image-me, a little Black girl from the Florida projects".
Where do we find Black Panther? "When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakandan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war".
"There was a time period where people were asking me questions about whether or not an audience could sit through a movie with a lead character who spoke with that accent", Boseman said.
"Seeing fictional characters such as the Black Panther from Wakanda, which is a technologically based society, gives us inspiration...hopefully what we'll do is inspire another generation of African Canadians and African people around the world to become great with respect to technology [and] science".

'You want that white kid to be able to think that he can dress up in a Black Panther costume, because, to that kid, there's no difference between Captain America and Black Panther, ' he explained.
"We had to take into account that some things that happened in the 1960s weren't really appropriate for the world of today".
By and large, Black Panther is getting raves. "We had such good chemistry", she said, adding that while the actors are at different points in their careers, she admires all of them equally. Sometimes it felt like we were training for a real fight. "Say one more word", the chieftain advises, "and I'll feed you to my children".
As time was running out, Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis were asked about their experience working on this film. Superhero movies are meant to be as big as possible, and this is a Big Deal. But at the end of the day you just want them to be like "Wow".
