That's how Cris Collinsworth explained the Eagles win on NBC's telecast.
On fourth down, with his defense backed up to the goal line and the game on the line, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was thinking just one thing. A few years ago, the Eagles traded Foles to the Rams and he would later lose his starting job to Keenum. It takes time to implement a new system and get players to fully understand and play within it. We've got home-field advantage throughout. They would go on to defeat the Falcons 15-10. "The defense did an incredible job".
Both teams came out of halftime and went three and out on their opening drive. Minnesota is also 42-18 ATS in their last 60 games overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven playoff road games. "We feel good about it because I don't feel like many people gave us much of a chance". The 14-play, 86-yard drive put the Eagles ahead 6-3 with 10:28 left in the second quarter.
During that drive, something odd happened.
After the game, Eagles defensive back Malcolm Jenkins said that the defense knew what the Falcons were running all along.
Jake Elliott, who made all three of his field goal attempts on the day, would miss the extra point.
The run game started working. The Eagles avoided third-and-long situations and, most importantly, held onto the ball.
Philadelphia, by virtue of their 13-3 record - best in the NFC - will be at home for the second time in as many weeks after besting the Falcons in dramatic fashion.
The last time the Eagles faced the Vikings in the regular season was in 2016, when the Eagles harassed Sam Bradford all afternoon, sacking him six times en route to a 21-10 win. In rushing, Jay Ajayi ran for 54 yards in 15 carries while Nelson Agholor added 20 yards in two rushes. He wasn't accountable for any touchdowns or interceptions this game.
"We just kept believing in each other", said Foles, who became the starter when Wentz tore a knee ligament in December.
"I'm just having fun", Graham said, laughing. The two lost fumbles led to ten points for the Falcons. "Play them in the cold and we are going to bring it, because that is what I am squawking about". Let's do it again next week, Philly.
