Razer has announced a move into mobile entertainment and gaming with their upcoming Razer Phone.
Razer CEO and co-founder Min-Liang Tan spoke at the launch: "It's common knowledge that I'm obsessed with my smartphones, I play a ton of games on them, and they're my go-to for streaming content".
As the device is marketed for Gaming purposes, there wasn't much expectation in the camera department, however, the phone seems to have taken care of it anyway. In the U.S. and Canada, Microsoft is the exclusive in-store partner for the phone and will be carrying a select set of limited edition of phones with the green Razer logo. The first lot of Razer Phones would ship on November 17. This is a new adventure for the gaming giant, and the Razer Phone is its first attempt at launching a cellphone "for gamers". It is a gaming-centric mobile device and comes with premium features.
Razerzone.com will be selling the phone online in the U.S. and Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland, Germany, France, Denmark and Sweden. Interested users can head to Three stores in the United Kingdom and European Union as well as Microsoft Stores in the U.S. and the company's own stores in San Francisco on November 17 to get their devices. This will be an optional app launcher, bringing the Razer brand to the Android world.
The Razer Phone is presently coincidentally recorded by a partner site of the Three UK. Although, it might not have the best looks that we are used to seeing in the high-end device segment. In the coming weeks, Razer is expected to unveil a special limited edition of the smartphone with a green logo at the back.
