Pocket Gamer reported earlier that completing the VHS library will unlock a new trailer for "Stranger Things" Season 2. The critically-acclaimed series debuts its second season later this month, and anticipation could not be higher. Moreover, the locations in the game are also taken from the original TV show and some of them include the Hawkins Lab, Mirkwood forest, and Jim Hopper's home. There are seven playable characters in total, each with their own unique abilities that are required for solving certain puzzles.
Gameplay wise it conjures up a lot of 90s nostalgia, which is ironic.
It looks absolutely wonderful.
It's nearly time to go back to where it all started to get odd, a trip back to Hawkins, Indiana to check-in with the gang after their wild adventures in the Upside Down. "You can also share your speed run times and compete with your friends" scores.
Stranger Things fans (like us!) are hungry for anything related to their Hawkins heroes. It has released Stranger Things: The Game, a mobile title that gives players control of the young heroes of its universe. The best part about Stranger Things: The Game is that it does not have any in-app purchases. For instance, Lucas has long firing range with his Wrist Rocket, and Nancy will definitely be swinging her bats. I think this scene will be one of the very first scenes in the season, so it's not spoiling all that much.
There are two available game modes to "Stranger Things: The Game", Normal and Classic, for those who somehow found the unforgiving nature of classic games fun. The only thing I could sort of say to them is that getting to do the work is the reward, that life is short and you have to enjoy what you do - and we really, truly did. So wherever you are, whatever you are doing, take a second and install this game right now.
