Taylor Swift proclaims reinvention on new single

If you thought "Bad Blood" was dark, Taylor Swift has just upped the ante with an even more deadly new single entitled "Look What You Made Me Do" which is basically a veiled smackdown of Kanye West. The singer also has released her new single Look What You Made Me Do, which ends with a unusual voice message. "Cause she's dead' - it didn't take fans long to start speculating who the singer could be taking aim at".

After TMZ reported that Swift approved the lyrics, one of her representatives released a statement denying that she'd given her blessing. On August 25, a clip of the song's video will premiere on Good Morning America, and a lyric video you can see below.

He shared previously: "She would never send new songs, no". After making up, West name-checked Swift in his controversial song "Famous" past year, something that he said she had approved.

Taylor Swift then issued a statement condemning Kanye West and Kim Kardashian and accusing them of "character assassination". Others felt the opening lines of "Look What You Made Me Do" - "I don't like your little games/Don't like your tilted stage" - was a reference to West's recent tour, which featured a floating stage.

Listen to "Look What You Made Me Do" above, and revisit Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" below.

Right Said Fred have been credited as writing Taylor Swifts new song in a freaky collab.

As for the rest of the album, we'll just have to wait until "Reputation" drops on November 10.

For Swift, the single follows a tumultuous few years since 2014's 1989. Having released her first album at the age of 16, this remodelling was inevitable.

One Twitter user wrote: 'So Taylor Swift - Look What You Made Me Do is basically about Kanye West.' . In fact, this new Swift is doing exactly the opposite.

A lyric video was released for the song, with the official video coming soon and the lyric video already has an outrageous amount of views on You Tube.
