Across the country, over 50,000 pets found their homes previous year during the Clear the Shelters event.
"Clear the Shelter" is a nationwide event, one day a year, where all adoption fees and even dogs license fees are waived.
In partnership with Telemundo Las Vegas, the shelter is joining hundreds of animal shelters across the country in a nationwide effort to find all shelter pets loving forever homes.
The Second Chance Animal Shelter in Boaz now houses more than 300 dogs that need a "forever home".

The event will be held at the Isabel y Garcia Animal Shelter, located at 262 Woody Lane in Port Isabel, from 9 a.m.to 4 p.m. "Hopefully we can find homes for all of them".

Shelters around Northeast Louisiana participated, bringing in community members of all ages and backgrounds.
