As clearly hinted, the dual cameras are stacked vertically accompanied by a laser autofocus sensor and a dual-tone LED flash.
A new leak suggests that the all new Nokia 8 will house a dual-camera Zeiss optics. It would have a whopping 22-megapixel camera on the rear and 12-megapixel camera on the front. And at the time of launch it'll be Nokia 8 will come in 4 different color options: Steel, Blue, Gold-Copper and Gold-Blue.
According to reports, Nokia 8 will be featuring a 5.3-inch QHD (2,560×1,440) touchscreen display. Even though HMD Global will unveil the new smartphone on July 31, it's safe to assume that it will only start shipping in August or even in September.
Nokia 8 is sporting Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 central processor, which is used by leading smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Sony. The Android capacitive navigational buttons also make a return on this handset. The lenses are Zeiss branded, making this the first smartphone to be leaked with this after the announcement of HMD Global and Zeiss partnership earlier this month. The smartphone is also tipped to sport an iris scanner, be IP68 water resistant, support dual-SIM slots, and a fingerprint scanner as well. It's believed that the device would run a pure or "vanilla" flavored version of the mobile operating system.
The information comes from a German website WinFuture (who are considered to be reliable when it's about proper release dates), the Nokia 8 goes with the model number as TA-1004. The smartphone, previously thought to be named the Nokia 9, might carry a price tag of less than $600.
After a lackluster start with middle-of-the-road Android phones, the Nokia brand could finally be reinvigorated by the Nokia 8, if the rumors about the high-end Android phone are true.
