Guardians was one of the most anticipated Xbox One game but it launched with a dynamic resolution that had a upper limit of 1080p.
Forza 7 is shaping up to be a tremendous showcase for Microsoft and its Xbox One X. "I think we have to moderate the temperature a bit around where we are and not tell people this is the year of VR". It seems likely that most of the big first-party games will come to the service, but third-party titles are less of a guarantee. Microsoft also claims there's no other console that can do what the Xbox One X can offer right now.
As we've reported earlier, Tiago Sousa, a developer at id Software, criticized the use of six or more teraflops of power in the consoles to achieve 4K gaming. Now Redmond is going even farther by bringing 2001 "OG" Xbox games onto Xbox One, ushering in a surprising endeavor to reinvigorate the console brand from its roots. Microsoft has priced this console at $499, making it the most expensive console among the three. After all, one of the biggest reasons why the Xbox One well and truly lost the war with the PlayStation 4 was that the latter debuted with a $100 lower price. We will sell more S's than X's, because the price point is important to a lot of people.
"I think our industry is better and stronger when Nintendo is strong [.] I really believe that". The Nintendo Switch is dramatically lacking content, although this is set to change over time, given it is a newly released console., and those games that have been released were generally disappointing. That's not quite a denial, but it definitely implies that the console's price makes it revenue neutral, at best.
So when the Xbox One X was announced, most figured they'd learned their lesson. "If you just look at the specs of what this box is, it's in a different league than any other console that's out there".
The console will also be immediately compatible with all existing Xbox One games.
"So I want these games to be played and I think they should be played". Spencer expects similar adoption for the Xbox One X.
