Some have Jackson ahead of Fultz in their mock drafts and big boards, but Markelle Fultz is still the likely pick at #1 despite a poor shooting day at his two-day visit with the team. Jackson has yet to hold a public workout for the Sixers, so logic suggests it's the Lakers at pick No. 2 who are whispering sweet nothings into his ear.
"From what I'm told, Fultz didn't shoot the ball exceptionally well in his workout in Boston, but they know he can shoot the ball".
The more I look at this, Jackson probably fits the Lakers better than Lonzo Ball.
They haven't had a workout with Jackson, even though he could be in play for them at No. 4.
How do D'Angelo Russell, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle and every other Laker feel about it being Lonzo's team? After that pick, the Lakers could take anyone they want - there's no need to promise Jackson they'll pick him.
It's easy to envision Ingram and Jackson terrorizing Lakers opponents on the wing a few years down the line, a welcome visual for Lakers fans exhausted of watching the team sit at the bottom of the league in defensive efficiency year after year. Jackson touted his quickness, versatility, athleticism and passing. I'm just about wrapping it up right now.
